To validate the idea behind DesignMonk, we first sent out web forms and arranged 1-on-1 interviews with key individuals. Once our hypothesis was validated, we began sketching the concept and selected users to validate the idea. This guided us in creating our first high-fidelity UI mockup, which we used to showcase the product and start promoting a waiting list. As we were fulfilling the list, we simultaneously worked on creating a functional MVP. For this process, we used Scrum for development, Agile for marketing, and guided our objectives with the North Star methodology and 5W2H for tasks. Through customer surveys and interviews, we were able to speak with over 100 individuals with design, marketing, and business profiles, primarily from Brazil and Spain.
The MVP was designed with the user at the center of focus. All features included in the MVP were previously validated with early adopters. This approach ensured that the MVP fully meets the needs of our target users and provides an optimal user experience. By centering the user in the MVP development process, we were able to create a product that is tailored to their specific needs and is more likely to be successful in the market. This approach also allowed us to gather valuable feedback from early adopters, which we used to further improve and refine the MVP before its official launch.
